Fantasy readers/writers - what do you think of factions of Dark vs Light?

i haven't read one i liked, doesn't mean its not out there. Lately i've been reading alot of teen books right and i guess teen books mean there dark characters are well you cant like them, in any way shape or form, they dont even seem like real people to me.
