Kindle: renaming the author of a pdf file? HELLPPPP!?

The best way (for this and many other things) is to download the free, open-source program calibre (see link below) and then edit the metadata. Metadata includes the title, author, publisher, book number, cover image and lots of other stuff. With calibre installed, you can also download the metadata from places like Amazon or Google Books.
