Will the supervolcano in yellowstone erupt near michigan?
The hot plume beneath it is slowly moving east, so yes, eventually, possibly in hundreds of millions of years it may erupt under Michigan. On the other hand and major eruption of the present cauldera has the potential to make large parts of the continental US uninhabitable and any such eruption would cause weather pattern hassles for several years. You might be able to avoid it but that reminds me of the English guy who, fearing nuclear catastrophe, moved to the Falklands in the South Atlantic just in time for the war there to break out.
