Will the US government shutdown affect my holiday?

I'm going to america next week, mostly NY and Buffalo, the rest in canada. People are saying they won't be able to get into yelllowstone ect, Not that i was planing to go to yellowstone but are national parks on the cut? Sorry i just have no idea how this will work?
