Windows XP folder options. Is there a way to make a folder display only files and not any subfolders?

I save scans and various copies of business receipts in a folder but many files also create an associated folder containing some other info pertaining to the file. I have to rename the scans and they all start life as 00000.jpg to make finding them easy to find for renaming as they all end up at the top of the list of files. Problem is scrolling past all the folders to get to the point where the files start. I want the folder to show only files and no folders to make this easier. Cheers
